Let the season begin

U8 got their season started with team hitting. The dugout is now open to all teams to begin their seasons for Bronco Select and get the rust off those bats. Some of the teams start their 2020 season as early as November with some waiting for basketball to be almost over and starting up in January.

The Boys are back out on the road recording live from the 2020 Bronco Select Bowling Fundraiser supporting the 2020 U14 Red Girls Fast-pitch and U12 Boys Baseball teams. Bobby Katterhagen and Corey Storebeck the Head Coaches for those two teams stop in to talk about the trips they have planned for their teams this year. The event is hosted by Old Settler’s Inn in Union Grove and Brian & Scott sit down to chat with long time owner and community member Butch Schoenfuss. SkooTR and McB get a chance to introduce Bronco Select’s newest pitching coach, former MLB pitcher Justin Berg. Justin checks in to share his journey to the major leagues, how he stumbled on Bronco Select and what he hopes to accomplish in the organization. And finally, everyone gets to meet the new Chairperson of the Bronco Select Pig-roast Jess Meyers as well the head of the Basket Committee Brooke Wolfe.

All that and more including some exciting announcements about the show itself.

U12 Red volunteered to help out the Special Olympics bowling event in Racine

Bronco Select 10U was victorious over Menomonee Falls Angels Red, 7-3

Bronco Select 10U opened up scoring in the first inning when Camryn S singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Bronco Select 10U took the lead for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Ciara Hgrounded out, scoring two runs and Marlee Lsingled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Marlee toed the rubber for Bronco Select 10U. She allowed two hits and three runs over five innings, striking out 14.

Kylee S was on the rubber for Menomonee Falls Angels Red. She went four and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on four hits and striking out one.

Camryn went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Bronco Select 10U in hits. River J led Bronco Select 10Uwith two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.

Menomonee Falls Angels Red tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Maya Z led the way with three.

A walk-off single propelled Bronco Select 10U to a decisive, dramatic victory over Midwest Elite Angels, 7-6. Bronco Select 10U was down 6-5 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Camryn S singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Bronco Select 10Ucollected six hits and Midwest Elite Angels had two.

Bronco Select 10U took an early lead in the first inning when Olivia C grounded out, scoring one run.

Karlie P earned the win for Bronco Select 10U. She lasted six innings, allowing two hits and six runs while striking out ten.

Iyana took the loss for Midwest Elite Angels. She allowed six hits and seven runs over five and a third innings, striking out seven.

Camryn led Bronco Select 10U with two hits in three at bats. Bronco Select 10U stole 13 bases during the game as three players stole more than one. River J led the way with five.
