The U9 boys watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 16-12 loss to Firebirds 9U on. The Firebirds scored on a walk by Owen L, a walk by Connor P, a single by Cameron G, a wild pitch during James V’s at bat, and a walk by Jax K in the first inning.
Bronco Select lost despite out-hitting Firebirds 9U nine to seven. In the first inning, the Firebirds got their offense started. Owen drew a walk, scoring one run. Union Grove scored four runs in the fifth inning.
James earned the win for the Firebirds. He surrendered four runs on zero hits over one inning, striking out two.Tylor A took the loss for the Broncos. He surrendered nine runs on four hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three.
The Broncos tallied nine hits on the day. Trenton N, Colt D, and Ryan O each collected multiple hits and they tore up the base paths, as six players stole at least two bases. Ethan G led the way with five.

Bronco Select was again well represented in the Union Grove 4th of July parade. Kids and coaches endured the heat as they started the celebration of the holiday.
