The U9 boys prepared to fight and claw for their first win but came up short in all three games.
In games vs South Milwaukee and Oak Creek twice the Bronco Select boys were in every game. They faced a deficit of 10-9 and 10-8 vs the Rockets and Storm on Saturday but couldn’t find a way to get out of the last inning falling 19-9 and 14-8. On Sunday they faced Oak Creek for the 5th time this season and got off to a strong start leading 3-1 going into the bottom of the 2nd inning. Easton gave up a hit and then they got the Storm to line out twice but Oak Creek showed their muscle and reached on some singles to get the score to 4-3 and followed it up with a quick 1, 2, 3 inning with a couple hard hits by the broncos and a strikeout. They took the game in the bottom of the 3rd with a 6 spot crushing 3 doubles and a single.
Even though the boys lost all three they started to find their bats led by Kain Henning going 4-5 in the three games with 1 walk 2 RBI a triple and 2 runs scored. Tylor Anderson reached base in nearly all his at bats only striking out once, walking 4 times and crushing a 3 run home run to right center. Other Broncos with hits were Joey (3), Colt (2), and Cory, Jamison, Ryan, Trenton each had one. Charlie led all hitters with 4 hit by pitches, 3 in the back of the head which he shook them all off and headed to first without a tear or complaint.
Pitching is starting to come along as Easton Found the zone and struck out 4 over the weekend working two of the games with Sunday especially being a strong outing going 3 innings 50 pitches only and 2 walks.
The Broncos play four times this week capping off the week with a double header before heading into a break for Fathers Day weekend.
